What is PLYWOOD?

Plywood is formed by bonding together wood veneer layers with adhesive. The thickness of each layer ranges from 0.2 to 3.2 mm. When assembling the layers, they are oriented perpendicular to one another to enhance strength. When a cross-grain structure is used, it provides resistance against splitting at the edges, minimizes expansion and contraction, and increases stability. The core layers are crucial for plywood strength. They increase the distinction between outer layers where pressure is highest, affecting its resistance to bending significantly. Plywood, with a darker veneer, is known for its durability against water and moisture.

The dimensions of the plywood are standard as 2.50×1.25 meters, 1.25×2.25 and 2.20×1.70 meters, but it is possible to produce it in special sizes. We can specify plywood thicknesses as 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 18, 20, 25 and 30 mm as standard.
